Celebrating National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival: the Chamber's Preparatory Committee hosts a double-festival gala

Minister Counsellor Yang Tong of the Embassy of China in Ireland attended the event and delivered an address, extending festive greetings to the Chinese community in Ireland. He spoke highly of the work Chinese entrepreneurs in Ireland have done over many years to advance Ireland–China trade and people-to-people friendship, and expressed the hope that the Chamber would act as a platform and bridge supporting bilateral exchange and cooperation.

Other guests attending included Huang Jia, First Secretary for consular affairs at the Embassy; Zhang Zhewei, China Director of IDA Ireland; and Chen Huade, President of the Chinese Business Association of Ireland.

The evening was warm and convivial, with those present holding in-depth discussions on building the Chamber, the development of Chinese businesses and the opportunities in Ireland–China trade. As a next step, the Preparatory Committee will accelerate its preparatory work, bring together the wider community of Chinese businesspeople in Ireland, and build an exchange platform for shared resources and win-win cooperation — contributing to closer economic, trade and cultural ties between China and Ireland.
